Event Details
- The Walk A Mile In Her Shoes event in support of the YWCA of Calgary helps women and their children take steps to walk away from domestic violence.
- Although domestic violence is a very serious matter, this is a fun and light-hearted event.
- This is a donation-based event with no registration fee.
- On event day join local celebrities and other concerned men by strapping on high heels and find out what it is like to "Walk A Mile In Her Shoes."
- Register as an individual, join an existing team or create your own team.
- Donations can be made to the walk's general fund or to a specific walker.
- We recommend that you set your personal goal at $1,000 which will help us to reach our goal of $200,000 that much faster.
- All participants are required to fundraise towards the $1,000 participant goal.
